Putin ignores Zelensky’s ceasefire with fresh strikes

Vladimir Putin ignored Volodymyr Zelensky’s call for a ceasefire by launching strikes on Ukraine. The unilateral ceasefire announced by Kyiv was due to take effect at midnight on Wednesday, but Ukraine accused Russia of new strikes in the Zaporizhzhia region on Wednesday morning.
