Australia’s most decorated soldier vows to fight war crimes charges

Australia’s most decorated living soldier, charged with committing war crimes in Afghanistan, has vowed to clear his name. In his first public statement since his arrest, Ben Roberts-Smith said on Sunday he had never “run from a fight” and denied that he was involved in the alleged murder of five unarmed civilians.
