Starmer’s easing of oil sanctions ‘hands Putin a £1bn boost’

Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine could receive a £1bn boost after Sir Keir Starmer watered down sanctions on Russian oil, experts have said. The Prime Minister has allowed some imports of diesel and jet fuel derived from Russian crude into the UK following a surge in prices because of the war in Iran.
