Labour’s North Sea retreat risks making Britain a hostage to Norway

It was Harald Hardrada who first tried to make Britain a subject of Norway. In 1066, in an effort to pillage treasures and seize the crown, the Norwegian king sailed a Viking army to England only to be defeated by his namesake Harold Godwinson.
