Netanyahu violates Trump ceasefire with Gaza offensive

Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israeli forces to seize 70 per cent of Gaza, defying the terms of the US-brokered ceasefire that has governed the conflict since October. Israel already controls an estimated 64 per cent of the territory – itself a violation of the ceasefire agreement, which set a border known as the Yellow Line, giving Israel control of roughly 53 per cent.
