Millionaire populist ‘El Tigre’ vows to make Colombia great again

Abelardo de la Espriella has one message for Colombians voting this weekend: The country needs a strongman. Chanting “Firme por la patria!” (“strong for the homeland”), the millionaire lawyer, businessman and social media personality – who dubs himself “El Tigre” (The Tiger) – has promised a dramatic break from Colombia’s establishment.
