Donald Trump likes to say he “calls all the shots”. Yet days after boasting that Benjamin Netanyahu “won’t have any choice” but to accept his deal with Iran, the US president was reduced to pleading on social media, just after 5.30am, for both Israel and Tehran to “immediately stop shooting”.
