This is Antelope Reef, China’s new military outpost in the South China Sea In December 2025, satellite images showed a submerged coral reef, with only a small Chinese outpost visible on the south-eastern side. By February 2026, China had transformed the obscure reef into a strategic military hub covering almost the whole island.
