Wisden calls out India’s ‘Orwellian’ dominance of cricket

The Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack has strongly condemned political interference and Indian hegemony in global cricket governance, which it describes as “increasingly Orwellian”. Wisden, known as “cricket’s bible”, releases its 163rd annual edition on Thursday reviewing the game in 2025 and Lawrence Booth, the editor, has used his introductory notes to criticise Indian dominance of the world game.
