Auditors of collapsed shadow bank to be investigated by City watchdog

The UK’s accountancy watchdog is to investigate the auditors of a shadow bank that collapsed amid allegations of fraud earlier this year. The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) said on Thursday it had opened investigations into a network of four small accountancy firms that signed off accounts for Market Financial Solutions (MFS).
