Once more the overstretched Royal Navy has played a deadly game with Putin’s submarines

For more than a month, we were told, three Russian submarines operated in the Atlantic north of the UK, surveying our critical underwater infrastructure (CUI). One was an Akula-class nuclear-powered attack boat of the sort that has been stealthily prowling the Atlantic for many years now.
