Sánchez’s wife banned from leaving Spain during corruption trial

A judge has ordered Begoña Gómez, the wife of Pedro Sánchez, Spain’s prime minister, to stand trial for corruption and barred her from leaving the country. Judge Juan Carlos Peinado ordered Ms Gómez to surrender her passport and appear before the court twice a month until a verdict is reached, according to a court order released Saturday.
