US strikes Iranian tankers attempting to break blockade

A US fighter jet fired missiles at two Iranian oil tankers trying to sail towards Iran on Friday as the fragile Middle East ceasefire was tested by both sides. The Super Hornet warplane struck the empty M/T Sea Star III and M/T Sevda in the Gulf of Oman as they tried to defy the US navy blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
